Meet Jen Zhou

Oakville is where my family has built our life — where we shop on our main streets, walk our parks and lakefront, cheer at community events and lean on neighbours. Like so many residents, I chose Oakville for its character, its safety and its sense of community, and I have spent years working to strengthen exactly those things.

My professional career has been built in finance and business. As a CPA, CGA I have spent more than two decades in financial leadership, corporate management and strategic planning — responsible for budgets, operational analysis, internal governance and long-term decision-making. That work taught me to ask hard questions, read the numbers behind a proposal and hold organizations accountable for results.

Alongside that career, I have volunteered across Oakville: with our community foundation and its philanthropic leadership, with recreation programs that keep seniors and youth active, and with heritage organizations that protect our shared story. Those rooms are where I learned that good municipal decisions start with listening.

I am running for Ward 3 because residents deserve a councillor who is present, prepared and accountable — someone who will preserve what makes Oakville special and serve the community with integrity and action.
